Factory Stock vs. Modified

The Stock category is designed for the Mustang owner whose objective is to maintain their car in as near original condition as possible. This car should reflect what would have been found in a dealer's showroom when the new car was sold. This includes authorized dealer options, and options that were available in the year of manufacture. Allowable exceptions include, but are not limited to: batteries, mechanical replacement parts as long as they are of original type, such as starters, belts, hoses, mufflers, shocks and springs. Radios as long as they fit the original dash openings and dash is not altered. Addition of: options that could have been ordered from the factory or dealer that are still of stock type/quality. Ex= tires and wheels as long as they reflect original type. Also allowable for stock category would be: Upgraded lights, gauges, original graphics/decals, 3point seat belts, and chroming of original parts.

It is up the participant to enter their car in the correct category. The show manager, using the above criteria, will settle any disputes. . Note: A car entered in the wrong category could be disqualified from trophy consideration, or not receive all the participant votes necessary to win that category. Stock is meant to be appx. 90% as manufactured. We will be happy to assist you in determining which category you should be entered in.
